I’m not a big fan of wearing tights for riding however I do own a couple of pairs of riding leggings that have a suede knee grip on them which means that they are slippery when in the saddle so I wanted a pair of tights for summer riding/warmer weather that have grip on them. I purchased the Gabriella Sculpt Full Grip Tights in Navy colour after browsing on the Dublin website. They arrived super quick despite the Covid-19 situation and they looked so lovely and I could not wait to try them on. First impressions were great, they looked smart and flattering. I hack out quite a lot and I usually like to have my phone on me when I ride and I was really pleased to see that the Gabriella tights had really deep, secure phone pockets on both sides, big enough to fit my large iPhone 8 Max! The gel full seat is certainly grippy and means I find it easier to sit to one of my horse’s spooks and feel much safer when breaking in and riding my youngsters!
The tights have a 4 way stretch fabric which allows for no restriction of movement and has a lovely, smooth feel. I really like the fit of the fabric as it contours to your shape and the mesh panels offers great breathability especially during the warmer weather we have been experiencing lately. I have discovered that when brushing my moulting grey mare, the hairs do not stick to the Gabriella tights whereas with other riding legging brands, the hairs stick and are hard to remove from the leggings! I don’t just wear these tights for riding, I wear them all round the yard and when exercising too and I’ve had great compliments from family and friends on these tights. These tights are classy and the Dublin logo on the left leg looks stylish and stands out when riding and I love them that much I have already bought a second pair, this time in the Carbon colour!
